Zhejiang Hongyuan Pharma&Chem Co., Ltd. (Hongyuan) is a key subsidiary of Zhejiang Materials Industrial Chemical Group Co., Ltd ( ZJMICHEM).

ZJMICHEM is a member of Zhejiang Materials Industry Group (ZJMI) which ranked 65th among Top 500 Enterprises of China in 2007. The sales volume of ZJMI is approximate 11 billions USD.

Hongyuan holds two subsidiary factories, one lies in Zhejiang Province focusing on production of intermediates and API of atorvastatin、rosuvastatin and fluvastatin,etc. It is established and operated according to cGMP standard, the quality of it has been approved by world-class pharmaceutical companies.

The other factory named Hongye is specialized in production of thiophene and its derivatives. Since 6 years development, it has become the world largest thiophene producer. Its production capacity for thiophene is more than 1200MT/Year. Besides thiophene, Hongye is also one of the major suppliers of thiophene derivatives in the world market. It is the unique supplier in China which could synthesize thiophene derivatives from the initial reaction step to the final product. The sales volume of Hongye in 2007 is approximate 15 millions USD.
